| | Here's what happened on our trip! | | | | The weather finally played the game, after what seemed like endless cancellations, and we were able to head off for our reptile adventure. We were again supported by our wonderful parents and had loads of helpers to navigate the steep (sometimes slippery) terrain. The children were finally able to ask all the questions that they had been thinking of about lizards and we found seeing for real what we had only seen in books was a really rewarding experience. There was only one problem...when we came to leave nobody wanted to get on the bus! Back at kindergarten the children were bursting to tell their parents what they had seen and this carried through to the rest of the week with children revisiting the trip over and over through discussions, work with clay and investigations in the outdoor area. It's always wonderful to be able to include trips as part of our children's learning as it only increases the richness of their knowledge. | | | |
